2017 Chardonnay, Feliz
Anderson Valley Estate
10 months in custom French oak; 25% new
“Seamless delicate green. Shows an array of fruits and flowers, generous and subtle, but very ample. The palate is rich with endless complexities, but never heavy. Ageless structure and a dense mouthfeel with real spine. The finish is long, fresh, and elegant.” – Stéphane Vivier
Our Anderson Valley Estate vineyard showcases diverse terrain and soil types, producing some exciting wines. This Estate Chardonnay is planted on Feliz loam soil which is very deep and well drained - perfect for this variety. The Anderson Valley Estate is located in the west, or “deep end” of the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. The Navarro River forms the southeast border to the property, and the Pacific Ocean is in close proximity, bringing cool sea breezes and a marine layer blanketing the vineyards, creating the ideal terroir for our estate-grown Burgundian varieties.
