2015 Pinot Noir Tanbark Mill Vineyard, Perrygulch
Anderson Valley Estate
18 months in custom French oak; 25% new
“Perrygulch comes from denser soils and the steeper terrain of the Tanbark Mill Vineyard. The color is deep ruby with intense perfumes from red fruits to spice. The palate shows a lovely balance of ample fullness, durable structure, energy, and finesse. Rather fleshy with a great spine of acidity that shows in the long finish.” – Stéphane Vivier
Our Tanbark Mill Vineyard showcases diverse terrain and soil types, producing some exciting wines. This Estate Pinot Noir is planted on dense Perrygulch loam soil on a steep hill found on the Tanbark Mill Vineyard. The Anderson Valley Estate is located in the west, or “deep end” of the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. The Navarro River forms the southeast border to the property, and the Pacific Ocean is in close proximity, bringing cool sea breezes and a marine layer blanketing the vineyards, creating the ideal terroir for our estate-grown Burgundian varieties.
