2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, E.J. Church
Wine & Spirits
“Carefully blended from pure Mountain Estate lots, the wine’s nose is layered with juicy black cherry, forest earthiness and a touch of cedar. Its harmony of rich tannins, native acidity and sweet fruit extraction provide a slow and pleasing unfolding on the palate and in the glass. The mountain tannins provide structure and ample suppleness which has become part of the reliable EJ Church expression of terroir over the vintages. Enjoy over the next decade.” - Ashley Heisey
An early bud break, wet spring soils, and a long growing season produced a vintage with excellent quality. A wet spring started fast and rapid growth was met with average summer temperatures, which slowed development and reduced yields. The result was a moderate crop of well-concentrated fruit that ripened fully and slowly before an early harvest.
