2014 E.J. Church Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
“A stunning showcase of a wine made from mountain fruit. Dense, dark claret in color. Cassis, graphite, black cherries, and briar fruit, all wrapped up with elegant, silky, and supple tannins in a continuous, lively expression across the palate. Immaculate balance with amazing depth and density signifying the hallmark characteristics of terroir driven style.” – Ashley Heisey
The 2014 vintage in California was one of the warmest and driest vintages on record. A mild spring saw no frost during bud break and a strong, early fruit set in the vineyard. Warm sunny days through summer with no threat of rain allowed us to harvest a beautiful crop in the early weeks of August.
